The LCL-THRP on Thursday, April 3, 2025 held a one-day Security and Civilian Forum in Buchanan City with 30 participants including media personnel, persons Living with Disabilities, Students, Teachers, Women Groups, Religious and Traditional leaders among others.
The Forum focused on issues such as drugs and substance abuse as several recommendations were proffered aimed at combating drugs and substance abused.
Some of the recommendations include that national government ensure stronger enforcement of the drug law especially prosecution of drug dealers or traffickers, conduct drug awareness and improve security and Civilian cooperation.
The thirty (30) participants described THRP’s activities as essential and rewarding to their peaceful co-existence and was witnessed by Wings of Hope Foundation visiting delegation to Liberia.
According to Captain Mingle-Eze, the donated medical supplies will help address the many challenges facing inmates at prison facility.
